If you frequent my blog, I’m sure you recognize this gorgeous family and their beautiful farm! I had the pleasure of going to their home for Miss P’s one year photos earlier this fall. As always, I had such a great time and just loved so many of the photos!
My daughter turned 6 (SIX!!!!) yesterday and this weekend we had a spa party for her and her friends. It was so much fun and all the girls had a great time! Thought I’d share some pictures from the party for this month’s Chasing Moment’s post.
I got the invitation (and what I based the colors off of for the party) from Etsy seller Purpleberryink.
Everyone was greeted at the door with a smoothie and asked to put on slippers and a headband.
We had three different stations. Everyone started at the table and we did facials made of yogurt and oatmeal with cucumbers for the eyes, of course. Then they took turns at the other two stations which were pedicures/manicures and getting their hair crimped and colored (chalk).
Whew…I survived my first ever at-home party with 8 little girls!Really, though, it was a ton of fun to put together and host!
Time to start catching back up on blogging! When I’m busy I tend to just share 1 or 2 images from a session (or not at all), so since winter is here and things have slowed down I will be going back and sharing more…or just sharing…pictures from past sessions.
Here is a fun session I had back at the beginning of September. This family invited me to their gorgeous house with beautiful views and a bocce ball court! They spend a lot of time in their yard playing as a family and wanted to use that as a background…I love it!
The Zombies are coming, the Zombies are coming!!!
Last year and the year before I talked my kids into having coordinating costumes. You may remember them being Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf last year or a Ghost and Ghostbuster the year before. Before last Halloween was even over they decided (totally on their own) that they wanted to be Zombies. Surprisingly, they didn’t change their mind throughout the whole year and actually are already discussing what they want to be together next year too. I love it!
I always try to get them dressed up and take some pictures prior to Halloween, especially if Halloween falls on a weeknight because it is normally dark and just plain busy once I get home from work trying to get dinner ready before heading to take them out trick-or-treating. I had kept putting it off because we were busy with soccer every weekend or had something else going on and then last weekend I realized I NEEDED to get it done because Halloween was this week. …Only it was super foggy and dark outside. But, what the heck, they are Zombies, let’s do it anyway. And…it was a PERFECT setting. I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried!
Seriously, the “acting” is all their doing. LOL…They are pretty awesome, if I do say so myself!
It’s that time of the month again for a Chasing Moments blog post!
I have a bunch of kind of random stuff this month.
We’ll start off with some pictures I took of the kids a couple weeks ago. I bought this skirt for Emery a while ago and have been wanting to get some pictures of her in it and finally got around to it. Love it!
I also took this opportunity to get some Christmas card pictures of the kids…just a couple of ones I’m not using, but still love.
Emery lost her first tooth last week and was pretty excited about it! She is growing up way, way too fast!
A few Instagram pictures over the past couple weeks (I finally have a new phone and the camera works…yay!!!)
And a sneak peek at a Halloween post I have coming up on Thursday! The Zombies are coming…
You may recognize this family as I’ve had the great privilege of photographing them since the twins were little little (2 if I’m not mistaken)! They are now in kindergarten and little brother is almost 2…it is so fun to get to watch them all grow over the years and capture that! This year they invited me up to their cabin to do an extended family session with grandparents and aunt/uncle…so much fun and such a beautiful backdrop for photos!
