{5 on Friday} Spokane Photographer

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!

1. You may notice I have made a few changes to my blog – if you are in a reader, click in and check it out!  It has some cool new features that I am excited about (and lots of cool features that make things much easier on the back end for me!).

2. Related to that, I am seriously considering just going to a blogsite instead of having a separate website and blog.  I’d change my blog around so it had all the information that is on my website available on my blog (galleries, information, etc).  My website is just neglected…I’m bad about updating galleries and such and feel my blog represents my more current work anyway.   My friend, Chelsey, recently switched to a blogsite and I LOVE it…so I blame it all on her…lol.  Pros/cons?  Yay/nay?  Would love to hear your thoughts on a blogsite vs. website + blog.

3. Teagun and I are headed up to Silver Mountain today to meet up with my sister and nephews and go snow tubing. I’m so excited…Teagun is going to love it (getting to see his cousins and sledding)! Probably post some pictures on my “Mine on Monday” post next week, so check back.

Tina Ryan - The new layout looks great Jaidean! I am a big fan of the blogsite. Ever since I made the switch I no longer get client inquiries asking for my pricing because they were on the blog and not the website or asking where my specials and news was because they were on the website. They both had links to the other on the top of every page but for those not internet savvy it was just too confusing. I think it was a fab decision. It cut back on having two places to juggle and keep current and also made navigating my information for clients alot easier.January 29, 2010 – 7:18 am

kelly g - I don’t think you can go wrong either way (website + blog v blogsite), but I prefer website + blog (for myself, anyway). I love your new bloggy. Very fun, very chic. Great job on the family pics, too. love the jumping one, but you know I’m a sucker for those!

Juli - Love your new layout! I really like the image setup with the scrolling gallery. Great family pics and love the jumping one and the one with the son & daughter kissing the mom, so sweet! :) I’m personally a fan of the website + blog, but I can see how a blogsite would be an advantage.January 29, 2010 – 11:11 am
