About Me ~
I grew up in Deer Park and graduated from college at the University of Idaho. I now reside in Spokane, WA along with my husband, son and daughter. I have my “Corporate America” job that I really enjoy, but photography lets me delve into my creative side. I have always had a love for photography and this passion became even more intense after the birth of my son. I did not want to miss a moment. I really enjoy capturing the moments that cannot be recreated; moments I know I will want to remember and cherish forever. I would love to be able to do this for your family as well.
My Style ~
I have a classic, yet modern style. I like to get some posed shots, but also like to have fun at sessions! I like to capture your child(ren) and family interacting, playing, exploring. There are sure to be lots of smiling pictures, but don’t be surprised to see some shots that you didn’t realize were being taken. A lot of times, those are the best shots – the interactions between siblings, mother/child, etc. Children grow up way too fast. My goal is to capture those moments you want to hold onto and treasure forever!
Be sure to check out my blog to see recent work and if my style fits what you are looking for, contact me so we can talk!
Your Session ~
Your session will be at a location of your choice in the Spokane or surrounding area. Children often photograph their best at a location they are familiar with (for example, your home) or outdoors where they are able to explore and play. Sessions last anywhere from one to two hours. Newborn sessions typically last two to four hours and take place at your home. I allow plenty of time for breaks, diaper changes, feedings, etc. if needed. Be sure to bring things unique to your family (toys, bikes, car, etc). Also, feel free to bring a change of clothes and change mid-way through the session. I prefer to book sessions first thing in the morning or in the evening just before sunset.
I take on a very limited number of sessions a month and tend to book up quickly, so please be sure to contact me in advance to schedule a session. Newborn sessions should be scheduled before the baby is born as those sessions typically take place 5-15 days after birth.
I look forward to meeting and working with your family!
