Backyard Campout 2010

Saturday night was The Great American Backyard Campout night. You may remember pictures from last year when we participated in it. So I guess 2 years in a row makes it a tradition, right? The weekend ended up being just gorgeous and we pretty much spent all day outside and the kids playing in their little pool. Then we had some friends over for a BBQ, had a campfire, and then spent the night in the tent. The kid’s absolutely loved it and it was a lot of fun! Ahhhh…love summer time! Just a few snapshots from the day.

Both kids still do not like Smores. They will eat everything separate (well Teagun doesn’t like marshmallows), but together…no way! Crazy kids! (Teagun is just pretending to eat his smore here).

hmmm…think somebody is ready for bed??? It looks could kill… :)

And just a quick “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY” to my husband! Today we are celebrating 6 years of marriage! …and wishing we were in Hawaii like 6 years ago today.

My goal this morning was to get a couple pictures of the kids together. I have approximately 40 images in my living room alone and only one image of the kids together. I’m sure anyone with a two year old understands…they like to do their own thing on their own time and it definitely isn’t going to be when mom asks, right??? So we went to the park and Emery started out wanting nothing to do with Teagun even being near her (surprise surprise), but then for some reason, she decided to make her mama happy and let Teagun near her…lol. I only got a couple, but I love them nonetheless! I will share some individuals of each of them later on!

Adorable outfit is from Missie Moosie. Seriously love all of their clothes for little girls! Excited to see the fall line already (and no I’m not rushing summer AT ALL…this weekend couldn’t have been more gorgeous and I would love it to last all year long!)

Man, I am a slacker lately. I don’t think I have picked up my camera all week and just realized I didn’t get any pictures of the kid’s and me on Mother’s Day this year! Regardless, we had a fabulous day and I hope all the mom’s out there did too!!!

So since I didn’t take any pictures of my kids this week (or last apparently as I didn’t even do a “Mine on Monday” post last week), I am posting a little video of Emery spelling her name (she is spelling her first name and then yells her first and last name in case you can’t fully understand her). Makes me smile how she does it like a little cheerleader. And check out her little cheesy smile before and then when she is done goes right back to it….lol. Love that girl! :)

{5 on Friday} Spokane Photographer

1. We officially got rid of Emery’s last pacifier today. It was long overdue. She had 4 at the beginning of the week and throughout the week I cut the tips on 3 of them. She would try to suck and tell me they were broke so I told her she better throw them away and she did! I didn’t think that would work for her last (and favorite) one though, so I took her to Teddy Bear Junction and she put her last one inside of a “Princess Fairy Dog”. We named her “Bink” (she called her pacifier “binkers”). I haven’t been able to get her to nap today and she has had one meltdown already (when I tried to get her to take a nap). Hoping getting her to sleep and staying asleep tonight isn’t too bad (fingers crossed!).

2. Loving this spring like weather! So gorgeous! And so excited for the first day of spring tomorrow! Hooray for nice and sunny weather! We are getting outside again to take some pictures and it is so nice!

3. Just a little schedule update – I only have one weekend spot left open in April and limited weekdays. And I’m booking into May already, so be sure to contact me early if you are wanting a session this spring and/or summer. If you have a newborn on the way, be sure to contact me in advance so we can get the newborn session scheduled within the first 10 days after birth. Also, watch for my spring mini-session announcement coming out tomorrow to celebrate the first day of spring.
