I have seriously been the worst blogger this year. I keep telling myself I am going to be better about it, but then it just seems to get pushed aside again when life gets busy (which is always, as I’m sure you can relate!). I am just now sharing an extended family session I had the pleasure of photographing a while ago…notice the snow. 🙂 I loved this session…I’m always a big fan of including grandparents in photos too!
First I want to thank everyone who entered their nursery into The Nursery Contest. All the nurseries are super cute (and babies too)! Take a look at the great nurseries and vote at the bottom! Voting is open through February 16th, 2014. Be sure to share with your family and friends and get them to vote too!
The winner will receive a complimentary mini-session with Jaidean Baker Photography focusing on nursery, baby and/or family. The session will last approximately 20 minutes and will result in 5-10 digital images. Winning session must take place by June 1, 2014. Regular session terms and conditions apply.
Winner will be notified on February 17, 2014 and winning nursery will be showcased on the blog once the session has taken place.

It’s time for the forth annual Photo of the Year Contest! I can’t believe how fast this year went by…in a blink of an eye for sure! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is off to a great start to the New Year so far!
I narrowed it down to 20 images from all the images that I took over the year…that was hard, as usual! Thank you to all my 2013 clients! I am so honored that you chose me to photo your family! I truly appreciate it!
There will be THREE winners!
(1) The client whose image has the most votes will receive a complimentary 11 x 14 gallery mount of either the image from this contest or an image of their choice from an upcoming 2014 session they have with me.
(2) The 2nd place winner will receive a $100 credit to put towards a session in 2014.
(3) Leave a comment on this blog post (scroll down under the 20 images). A comment will be selected at random and the person who submitted the comment will receive a FREE Mini Session!! The winner may either keep the prize for themselves or gift to a friend. A Mini Session is a 20 minute session and must take place between January and April 30, 2014. You will receive a gallery of approximately 10 to download and print and you choose. (Limit of 4 immediate family members and cannot be used for a newborn session).

IP addresses will be monitored – only 1 vote per person
Results will not be visible on the poll and I will announce the winners on January 12th.

My little sister recently got engaged and is getting married next summer! They live in Vegas so while I was there last weekend we did some engagement pictures along the strip. I had a blast and laughed so much…so much fun!
How cute are they?
A little dancing on the strip
Inspired by a shot Nicole Fields took. Thank you also to Serena for mentioning trying this shot when we were at lunch…I had forgotten I had wanted to try it!
And I love this series. My husband says he doesn’t “get it”, but that is ok. It was fun and we were all laughing. Good times! 🙂
